These photos were taken in the 1970s, around the Fort Bragg area (Wages Creek etc.). Many cars are not represented here (we didn’t have cell phones back then), but we are lucky to have the photos that we do have. You would see many of these cars cruzin main street any given evening. From Stonie’s, to A&W. From one end of town, to the other. Sometimes racing stoplight, to stoplight. Many weekends, there was street racing, anywhere we could find a straight stretch. Sometimes, racers would come from other towns, and sometimes we went to their town. Anywhere to find people with fast cars to race.
